For the first time, the kiwifruit industry has an accurate test to determine if Psa is present in pollen. Plant & Food NZ have developed new PCR primers that can accurately determine Psa haplotypes in pollen.

Kiwi Pollen has re-tested all stocks of pollen produced in 2010 - all samples have tested negative for Psa-V.
