Pollen Storage for Orchard Use

On delivery of your pollen order, unpack the product:

  • Store at minus 16°C, the temperature of a domestic freezer
  • Store in an air-tight food grade plastic container
  • Low humidity is preferable

At pollination time:

  • Thaw pollen slowly overnight in domestic refrigerator (4-6°C) for a maximum of 24 hours
  • Let temperature rise to between 10°C and 20°C one hour before use
  • Do not thaw pollen in direct sunlight
