BioPollenAid® Mixing Instructions
BioPollenAid® was developed by Kiwi Pollen specifically to meet the
requirements of organic orchards. The BioPollenAid® is a twin pack mix - one red pack, one white pack
Mixing Instructions
- Measure the desired quantity of deionised water based on recommended mixing rates and add to Kiwi Pollen Mixer.
- Shake the white pack to disperse the white ‘powder.’ Add 20ml per litre of water to the deionised water.
- Shake the red pack and add 20ml per litre of water to the water/PollenAid mix
- Add the appropriate amount of thawed pollen to the surface of the BioPollenAid® medium.
- Turn the Kiwi Pollen Mixer on and stir for 10 minutes, ensuring the pollen is evenly dispersed. 8 to 10 minutes is needed to completely re-hydrate the pollen
- Add marker dye to the PollenAid® suspension medium after the pollen is mixed (optional).
Mix the BioPollenAid® and water vigorously for 1 hour before adding any pollen.

Notes:
- All equipment that comes into contact with pollen or any liquids used must be clean stainless steel or new food-grade plastic.
- Use only deionised water that has been stored in new food grade plastic drums
- Pollen in liquid suspension remains viable for up to 1 hour only.
- Hydrated pollen cannot be pumped or subjected to high pressure as the outer membrane is easily damaged.
- Store BioPollenAid® in the fridge once opened.
